In the previous week, there were almost twice as many people tested for the corona virus in Kragujevac and twice as many with a positive result. The city has been registering an increase in the number of new patients since mid-October, so the authorities are calling on citizens to be careful and show responsibility and solidarity, reports RTS.
Today, 19 new cases of kovid-19 were registered in Kragujevac, the majority after Belgrade and Novi Sad.
Last week, 17 cases of kovid-19 were confirmed among users and staff at the Kragujevac Gerontology Center. The epidemiological situation in this institution is currently under control and no new cases of infection have been registered.
Greater control over the implementation of the measures and the follow-up of the contacts of the infected give good results, say the authorities.
Predrag Delic, from the Kragujevac Institute of Public Health, affirms that the follow-up of contacts is the main task of this institution, because only in this way can a pandemic be controlled.
The mayor of Kragujevac, Nikola Dasic, said that the epidemiological situation is not good, but that it is better than in June.
Dasic said that the strengthened monitoring of compliance with the measures plays a very important role and that the results of the work of the services that participate in it are yet to be seen.
