The city of Belgrade has made a public call for assistance in the purchase of rural houses for internally displaced persons who have registered their residence, that is, residence in the territory of the capital, and the deadline for submitting applications is October 31 .

The City of Belgrade, the Secretariat of Social Protection in cooperation with the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration makes the purchase of at least seven rural houses with gardens, that is, real estate suitable for housing and provides additional assistance aimed at building materials for repair or adaptation of real estate – explained the secretary of social protection of the city, Natasa Stanisavljevic.

He added that the assistance refers to internally displaced persons while they are in a situation of displacement and who have registered their residence, that is, residence in the territory of the city of Belgrade for at least one year before the announcement of the public invitation, without solve the housing problem.

The value of the aid granted per family household is, he says, 1,500,000 dinars, of which 1,300,000 dinars are used for the purchase of a country house with a garden, that is, a property suitable for housing, and 200,000 dinars for additional aid for building materials for repair or repair. adaptation of the real estate course.

Stanisavljevic recalled that the Ministry of Social Protection from 2014 to 2019 took care of a total of 227 internally displaced families and 956 refugee families, adding that by the end of this year, through the allocation of construction materials and the purchase of rural houses with gardens, plus at least 40 refugee and internally displaced families.

He noted that the City, in cooperation with relevant national and international institutions, continually implements housing care programs for refugee and internally displaced families from Kosovo and Metohija.

As he said, to improve the position and quality of life of the citizens of Belgrade, the Secretariat of Social Protection will continue to provide assistance to those who need it most, by calling for public tenders.
