The deputy director of the Institute of Public Health “Milan Jovanović Batut”, Dr. Darija Kisić Tepavčević, was not well known to the public, before she became a member of the crisis staff for the fight against the corona virus.

At staff conferences, Dr. Darija drew attention to herself with her experience, but also with her appearance and measured performance.
This was also influenced by her upbringing by her parents, who are academic citizens, which is less known to the public. Although we see the doctor almost every day, these are 12 facts about her that are little known.
Dr. Darija said that she likes to eat the famous Herzegovinian raštan dish with dried meat best. However, she admitted that she does not prepare it herself, but her father is the master at it.
When Dr. Kisic appeared in public, one of the main subjects and objects of admiration was her hair. But she admitted that when she was little her parents didn’t know what to do with so much hair, so they had to cut her hair.
The doctor has a three-year-old younger brother, Bojan, who is married to the Minister of Justice, Nela Kuburović.
Dr. Darija’s parents are academic citizens, and her role model was obviously mother Vesna, who is a pediatrician. While she was imitating her mother, brother Bojan chose the profession of father Bogdan, for which he graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.
Although she was born in Sarajevo, Darija Kisić Tepavčević always points out that she is “one hundred percent Herzegovinian”. Kisici comes from Baljci, near Bileca, and her mother Pasic’s family is from Herzegovina.

He finished “Slobodan Vukovic” primary school in Sarajevo as a student of the generation and finished the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade with a 9.60 average. The following year, she was given the opportunity to start working as a practical assistant in the Epidemiology subject, after which she was chosen for her life vocation.
It is less well known that Dr. Kisić Tepavčević represented Europe in 2019 at the “Initiative for the Global Elimination of Smallpox and Rubella”, which was held in Washington.
Besides being extremely beautiful, Dr. Kisić Tepavčević is also a great expert in the field she treats. He has demonstrated this with more than 100 scientific articles in the field of epidemiology, which have been published in both national and foreign publications.
Dr. Kisić Tepavčević has been in figure skating for a long time and has a lot of talent for drawing. As for literature, he really likes Meša Selimović, Ivo Andrić and Momo Kapor.
At the age of 17, Dr. Darija separated from her parents due to the war, and she and her brother moved to Bileća with their father’s parents. Hers stayed in Sarajevo, and as she said, they happened to not even be heard for days. Only after graduation was the family reunited.
In an interview, Dr. Kisić explained why her family never went abroad, but decided to stay in Serbia. His father then said: “Only this piece of heaven in the world is called Serbia. And we are Serbs.” Those words were etched in his memory forever.
Despite her appearance, Darija Kisić Tepavčević once said that she would like to exercise regularly and go to the gym, but is unable to do so due to numerous obligations. Then she emphasized that she is one of the women who “plan it every Monday,” but that “this and the next ones” are not going to achieve that intention.
