A woman took an elderly man in a wheelchair to the bank to test his life and retire his retirement in Campinas, in the interior of São Paulo. The information is from G1.
The case is being investigated by the Civil Police and took place at a Banco do Brasil branch on October 2. The woman was discovered while trying to rush the appointment saying that her alleged partner, a 92-year-old man, was ill.
The Fire Department was called and it was found that the old man already had “cadaverous stiffness” and that it was suspected that he had been dead for at least 12 hours.
The woman was transferred to the 1st Police District of Campinas to register the incident. According to the director of the São Paulo Interior Judicial Police (Deinter 2), José Henrique Ventura, the necroscopic report indicated that the elderly man, retired clerk and widower, had been dead for 12 hours when they took him to the bank.
Ventura says the woman claims that he had been her partner for a few years, but had no power to operate the old man’s bank account.
