Rachel Carey, 38, suffered from an ear infection and, after taking antibiotics prescribed by her doctors, in Dallas, United States, suffered a strong reaction.

Rachel went to the hospital three times, but on each visit she was sent home. The fourth time she was in the hospital, doctors decided to put her in a burn treatment unit, as her condition dramatically worsened.
In an interview with DailyMail, Rachel said that her skin was itchy, as well as having small blisters and swelling in her eyes and lips, as first symptoms, which spread soon after. “I didn’t even recognize myself when I looked in the mirror, I felt like a monster. I had taken the medication before, but I don’t know why. My body rejected them this time, ”he said.
He spent 12 days receiving treatment for Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS).
