Two employees of a UPA (Emergency Care Unit) in Bauru (SP), a city 340 km from São Paulo, were attacked by the companion of a patient awaiting care. The case took place in the Vila Ipiranga unit and was recorded by images.

In conversation with Twitter, an employee who asked not to be identified confirmed the attacks and said it was not an isolated incident. A professional said that cases of verbal violence are frequent, but other patients have already engaged in physical aggression, including a doctor who suffered weeks ago. “Last week, a doctor was beaten here,” he says.
In the specific case, the employee confirms that there was a security guard to protect the place and the servers, but said that the man would have been hiding at the time of the attacks instead of interfering in favor of the employees.
The city of Bauru issued an official note informing that it activated the security company, which is subcontracted, for the incident and will investigate the incident.
