Tomorrow the decision will be made on the closure of the Lafaiete trade

In an interview with CORREIO Online, Mayor Mário Marcus (DEM) previously indicated that the decision on the withdrawal of the city to the red wave and, consequently, the closure of a considerable part of the trade will be taken tomorrow, during a meeting of the COVID-19. According to the mayor, the city has one of the lowest occupancy rates for beds and ICU clinics in the state of Minas Gerais and therefore cannot be affected at a time that directly affects merchants, which is the Christmas period.

The Extraordinary Covid-19 Committee, which determines the guidelines for the Conscient Mines program, determined that 7 health macro-regions – including the Central-South, where Conselheiro Lafaiete is a hub – return to the red wave in the plan that determines the flexibility of activities in Minas Gerais.

If the Conscious Mines recommendation is adopted, in the red wave only the services of Supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, snack bars, convenience stores; Bars (only for delivery or collection at the counter); Butchers, fishmongers, fresh products; Food sales services; Pharmacies, drug stores, cosmetic stores, laundries, pet shop; Banks, lottery houses, credit unions; Surveillance and private security; Repair and maintenance services; Computer and communications stores; Hotels, motels, campsites, lodging and pensions; Civil construction and infrastructure works; and Is authorized to operate the trade in automotive vehicles, parts and accessories.
