During the wake of the six family members who died in the tragedy of Presidente Getúlio, in Alto Vale do Itajaí, the body of one of the other three missing relatives was found. This Friday afternoon (18), Bruna Bozan, 27, was recognized by the Institute of General Skills while her husband, Andrei Bozan, 28, was observed in the parish hall of a Lutheran church in the neighboring city, Ibirama . Daniel Wiese, 44, his wife Francieli Wiese, 34, and their son Ariel Wiese, just five, were veiled along with Daniel’s brother, Dieter Wiese, 50, Elsa Wiese, 82, his mother and Andrei, his grandson. In addition, in the same place, Vera Odorizzi, 48, had a farewell, who was not related to the six.
Despite the coronavirus, the room was packed. The responsible funeral home reported that it was not possible to follow prevention protocols (with reduced waking times and few people) due to the great commotion generated. The tragedy forced an exception. At the farewell ceremony, around 5 p.m., about 100 people participated inside and outside the structure that housed the seven sealed coffins side by side, filled with wreaths of flowers. Not even the pastor managed to contain his tears:
– The words do not express the feeling. They sang many times with us, it is very difficult. Why do good people go through bad things? – ventilated on stage.
The Wiese family attended church and participated in the choir, especially the couple Franciele and Daniel. They adopted their 13- and 5-year-old children in April. The girl, the only survivor, stood by the small white coffin of her younger brother, Ariel.
A family friend, Vânia Schmitz, who was at the wake, says the four were ready. Francieli had bought a swimming pool to give to the little ones for their first Christmas together.
She [a adolescente] I was home last week to play with my daughter. He said that he had already suffered a lot, but now he had everything he had dreamed of: parents, grandparents, uncles … And then that happens. It was a horror movie – he summed up.
During the speech, the pastor reported that Bruna had been found dead. After the funeral, the funeral of the young woman began to be organized. Bruna lived with Andrei near the mother-in-law’s house. They left the property at the time of the flood and were washed away. Married for four years, they planned to finish building the structure and have children.
The funeral of the seven took place in the cemetery of the Lutheran church of Presidente Getúlio in the late afternoon of this Friday. Bruna will be buried in the same place as her husband.

Seven goodbyes
Vânia also knew Vera because they worked together in a shirt store. The woman lived in the Revolver neighborhood with her husband, parents and daughter. The flood washed away their home. His parents are still missing. The daughter and husband were carried by the water for meters, but they managed to grab onto a structure and survive.
Dorita Wiese, 55, who lost nine relatives, sat by her son’s coffin. The woman who said she had lost a part of herself found the strength to cry. He received many hugs from people who still did not seem to believe what happened. If the suffering at a wake is already a lot, this Friday it was multiplied by seven.
