The São Paulo Municipal Health Secretariat decided to anticipate vaccination against Covid-19 for the elderly over 90 years of age in the capital for this Friday (5). Initially, immunization for this age group was expected to start next Monday (8). The information is from the Agora newspaper.
The vaccines will be available in 468 UBS (Basic Health Units), and at this stage home vaccination will also begin, for the same age group, of people with mobility restrictions.
According to the newspaper, 32,837 elderly people over 90 should be vaccinated in the city of São Paulo. The guidance of the city council and that the elderly from the age of 90 look for the UBS closest to their residence to present the CPF, the vaccination card and the SUS card, if they have it.
The Municipal Health Secretariat recommends that, to avoid overcrowding, dependent older people be accompanied by a single person. Next Monday there will also be five places where older people can be vaccinated without leaving the case, in a drive-thru system, and in four schools in the municipality.
