Last Friday (30), part of the roof of a shopping center in Jaboatão de Guararapes, in the metropolitan region of Recife, fell and injured two people.
The affected victims were treated at the scene and later transferred to a private hospital. They underwent a medical evaluation, which considered minor injuries and determined that the people should be discharged.
Samara Cipriano was walking through the establishment when she heard the noise. “First, it was an explosion. So, we saw that it was the roof that fell. The rescue personnel did not take long, thank God, ”he said.
“It’s a shopping center that I always go to and nothing like this has ever happened to me. At least I don’t know. I think this is a maintenance problem, ”said Cipriano.
Wanted by UOL, Shopping Guararapes commented by note and explained that the accident occurred near the events square. The statement also emphasizes that the site “is providing all assistance to these customers” and that it is “verifying the cause” of the accident.
