The Peão de Barretos party is postponed to 2021 due to the pandemic | Ribeirão Preto and Franca

According to the Os Independentes group, the largest rodeo in Latin America will take place August 19 and 29, 2021, the same period in which the event is traditionally promoted.

“We tried and hoped so much to be able to host the party this year. But our priority is the safety and health of everyone involved,” President Jerónimo Luiz Muzetti said in a note.

According to the organizers, the tickets purchased for 2020 will be valid for 2021, according to the law sanctioned by President Jair Bolsonaro. More information can be found on the party’s website.

Before the new date, the Festa do Paão – initially scheduled for August 20 and 30 – was rescheduled to occur between October 28 and November 2 of this year, with a reduced duration from 11 to six days, due to to the new coronavirus pandemic. In 2019, when it was held for the last time, the rodeo attracted 800 thousand people and moved R $ 900 million.

In addition to the Festa do Peão, two other events promoted by the Os Independentes group, which take place annually in October, were postponed until 2021.

Barretos Motorcycles will be held, which brings together motorcyclists at Parque do Peão April 30 and May 2. Insane Sound, aimed at fans of automotive sound, will be among October 15 and 17 next year.
