The meeting next Wednesday (7) will be dedicated to the analysis of epidemiological indicators in Belo Horizonte, which, in recent days, have shown a trend towards stability.

Twenty five days later Beginning of the application of strict sanitary measures to stop the spread of the coronavirus in the capital of Minas Gerais., the Covid-19 Coping Committee of the Belo Horizonte City Council (PBH) will meet next Wednesday (7) for an evaluation of the epidemiological situation in the city based on indicators such as the occupation of the beds of the Therapy Unit of Intensive Care (ICU) dedicated to the care of patients infected by coronavirus and the contamination index (RT).

The meeting was announced this Saturday (3) by PBH. “We are going to make a general balance of the situation, but we can say that the numbers are stable,” reveals the municipal secretary of Health, Jackson Machado Pinto. After days of increasing indicators, a certain stability was noted in the last week with a drop in the pollution index and the occupancy of beds, both in the ICUs and in the Covid-19 wards, according to the Belo Horizonte City Council. .

The improvement, however, does not negate the need to maintain social distance and other sanitary practices such as the use of masks and constant hand hygiene with soap and water or alcohol gel.
