The physical space of the fair was expanded and the food stalls will not be on Avenida Afonso Pena
The Secretary of Health of Belo Horizonte, Jackson Pinto Machado, confirmed on Friday (18) that the traditional Hippie Fair on Afonso Pena Avenue, in the Center of Belo Horizonte, will start working again on September 27. All exhibitors are allowed to resume their activities.
In order to maintain a greater distance between the stalls, the physical space of the fair was expanded, starting at Avenida Carandaí and now ending at Praça 7. In addition, the food stalls will be on Rua Espírito Santo, while the others will continue on Afonso Pain.
Likewise, according to the secretary, the changes will affect traffic, requiring extra attention from those who circulate in the area. “The traffic will work like the holiday of September 7, we must warn the population about the collective routes,” said Machado.
The Belo Horizonte City Council also reported that the return to activities at other fairs, such as Mineirinho, is still being studied.
