The doctor who created the ‘Covid Kit’ dies after 45 days of hospitalization with the disease

Dr. Guido Céspedes, 46, died of coronavirus in Sinop, a city 479 km from Cuiabá. He had been hospitalized in an intensive care unit (ICU) at Sinop Regional Hospital for more than a month.

The healthcare professional was known for creating and filing the ‘Covid-19 Kit’ at Sinop, which was comprised of drugs such as hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin, zinc, ivermectin, AA, and ibuprofen.

The doctor’s health status was aggravated by comorbidities and he did not end up resisting, last Wednesday (2/9). Guido had a history of diabetes, overweight, and high blood pressure. He was one of the health professionals who most acted on the front lines of the fight against the new coronavirus.

In a note on social media, the mayor of Sinop, Rosana Martinelli, lamented the death of the doctor.

“After a few months of fighting, Dr. Guido Céspedes died this afternoon. A dedicated and courageous server who has done so much for all of us. On the front line, he signed the Kit Covid protocol and did everything possible for our municipality. In this moment of pain, I sympathize with the family and leave a big hug here, “wrote the mayor.

The Regional Council of Medicine of Mato Grosso (CRM-MT) also lamented the loss of the professional.

“The Board of Directors of the Regional Council of Medicine of the State of Mato Grosso (CRM-MT) received with great regret the news of the death of the doctor Guido Vaca Céspedes, this Wednesday afternoon (02), in Sinop”, states the Note.
