The completion of the company’s qualification process is officially suspended indefinitely. National driver’s license (CNH). The official decree, already published in the Official Gazette of the Federation, establishes that the change applies to both ongoing processes and those that have not yet been opened.
The measure is necessary because the process of obtaining CNH It is late in the states because the theoretical and practical classes are suspended. This directly affects candidates who started the process before the pandemic began.
At the beginning of the pandemic, the deadline for obtaining the CNH had already been extended to 18 months. Previously, the usual period to carry out the process (psychological, medical, theoretical and practical tests) was 12 months, counted from the date of registration in the Driver Training Center (CFC).

Drivers who already have the CNH or the Driving Permit (PPD), and have the document expired on February 19, 2020, do not need to perform the renewal enabling immediately. The period of validity is also suspended indefinitely, as stated in Resolution No. 789 of Contran, of June 18, 2020.
