Last Sunday (03), the police arrested the suspect for threatening and raping a 13-year-old girl in Fortaleza on January 1.
The young woman was heading to a family member’s home by bus and the man approached her while she was standing. He threatened her with a glass bottleneck, took her to an abandoned shed, and raped her.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Hideraldo Bellini, commander of the 12th Military Police Battalion (BPM), in Caucaia, Justice determined a order of preventive detention against the accused. The suspect was arrested in downtown Fortaleza and sent to the Fortaleza Women’s Police Station (DDM).
The victim was subjected to a body examination to verify the attacks in the Forensic Examination of Ceará (Pefoce) and has already taken medication, prescribed by a professional from the São José Hospital for Infectious Diseases.
According to G1, the mother regretted the violence her daughter went through. “I don’t even know how to describe what I feel. It is pain and anguish, it is a very bad feeling at that moment, ”he said.
The mother also recalled that on the day of the crime the young woman had asked to go to her godmother’s house. She packed a backpack and, around 9 a.m., said she would go to the bus stop alone. “She said, ‘No, Mom, the street is full of people.’ Unfortunately I left because she always has the habit of taking this bus, ”said the mother.
