A survey by a software company revealed that the rate of social isolation in Espírito Santo is well below the ideal, recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO).

The most recent data reveals that the isolation rate in the state is 45.2%, when the Ministry of Health and medical authorities recommend it is that the number is close to 70%.

The study shows that people have relaxed their attention and are not respecting containment measures to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.

The research is carried out in association with the University of São Paulo (USP) and the index is measured based on the number of people using the company’s associated applications. Throughout Brazil, there are more than 60 million users.

The concern is that if the rate remains low, the number of beds available in the health system may not be sufficient to serve the population.
