A robbery forged by her ex-husband left the clerk Ingrid Mendonça Ribeiro, 34, paraplegic after being shot. The bullet struck the victim’s shoulder, went through the spine and lodged in his hip. Ingrid was working in a pharmacy when the alleged assault was announced on the night of October 16 in Iguape, on the coast of São Paulo. Information is from G1.

According to the victim’s family, after surgery to remove the bullet, the woman was diagnosed with T9 Crucial Palsy. Currently, the relatives are seeking help to purchase transportation equipment, valued at R $ 35,000.

When she regained consciousness at the hospital, the secretary told police that the silver car used by the thieves was the same one that she noticed chasing her down the street, days before. With this information, the investigation changed course and the authorities came to suspect an attempted femicide.

According to Ingrid’s family, she and her husband had ended their 5-year marriage in September. The man did not accept the end of the relationship.

After the crime, the assailants fled, but ended up overturning the car on the road. The driver, who shot Ingrid, was killed instantly.

The other suspect survived and ended up confessing that her ex-husband had paid R $ 5,000 in cash and that he would distribute another R $ 13,000 to kill his wife. He, the victim’s ex-husband and an intermediary who hired the couple, were arrested and are still at the disposal of the courts.

Family raised online

According to the victim’s family, Ingrid was an independent woman. “She owned her own house, her own motorcycle, she worked. Seeing her today, tied to a bed, is not easy ”, said a relative of G1. To raise the amount of R $ 35 thousand, the family decided to create an online campaign.

The amount collected will be used to purchase a motorized chair with orthostatic adjustment, for R $ 20 thousand, and a winch for the chair to get out of bed, which costs an average of R $ 8 thousand.
