A woman accuses a psychiatrist of aggression after asking him to put on a protective mask against Covid-19 on Wednesday (10), at the José F. Rosas II Health Center, in Piracaia, in the interior of São Paulo. The information is from Ponte Jornalismo.
Teacher and tattoo artist Lia Costa told Ponte that she went to the health clinic to accompany an acquaintance who wanted to receive psychiatric care for her and her children. During the visit to the site, Lia and relatives of friends declared that doctor Eduardo Portieri walked around the area without a protective mask.
“We waited an hour and a man in a black T-shirt and without a mask passed by. It went up and down. He was the only one without a mask, ”Lia said. “When we went to be served, he turned to me and asked who they were going to serve. I showed the boy and he said, ‘Are you turning me into a clown? I don’t take care of children. ‘ Then I told him that it could have been a mistake, but that he could take care of his mother. Then he said that he was not an idiot and that he would not know anyone. It was then that I said that I was without a mask inside the clinic ”, added the teacher.
At that point, Lia began to record a video showing that the doctor did not want to perform the service or wear a protective mask. He then walks up to her and tells her that he will sue her if she uses her image. At this point, the cell phone is aggressively removed from his hand. In a second shot, from another angle, you can see the moment when he takes the woman’s cell phone and says: “Call security here because the girl is very nervous.”
Still in an interview with Ponte, Lia says that he threatened to take her cell phone from her if she continued recording. “With all the violence, he attacked me, took my cell phone and was in possession of my cell phone for 15 minutes. No one at the health clinic spoke to him, they all defended him. He twisted my cell phone, he injured my hand and shoulder just because he registered without a mask inside a health clinic in a pandemic where 2,000 people die every day and there was a traumatized child seeing everything ”.
The teacher says that at the Piracaia Police Station, the doctor was escorted and had special care, but that she did not have any supportive care. “I made a police report and I go to the Public Ministry because they did not want to give me a protection measure. The city is small, a person who does this is a dangerous person. I also called a vehicle, but the Military Police did not answer me. I am at risk ”.
In a note, the Municipality of Piracaia reported that “as announced on our social networks, the administration reaches out to the public to clarify that the episode that occurred in the Emergency Attention Unit, widely disseminated on social networks, is already in process . to be investigated, in order to achieve due clarification of the facts. In this way, from the conclusion of the administrative procedures adopted, we will demonstrate in due course ”.
