Six children and one adult die after a car fell into a river in Campos, RJ | North Fluminense

An accident left six children and an adult dead in Campos dos Goytacazes, in the north of the state of Rio de Janeiro, around 7:40 pm on Monday (14).

The six minors in the car were from the same family. Enzo Gabriel, 2, Kemilly Sophia, 6, Phandora, 8, and Ana Laisa, 4, were siblings; Brunna Vitória, 3 years old; and Erick, 12, were his cousins.

The driver, Adilson, was 45 years old and a friend of the family.

The bodies of the drivers and five of the minors were recovered on Monday (14). The sixth girl, Ana Laisa, was reported missing; his body was found on Tuesday morning (15).

An 18-year-old girl and a 13-year-old teenager who were also in the car managed to get out of the vehicle and suffered minor injuries. They were referred to the Ferreira Machado hospital. OR G1 He tries to contact the unit to find out the health status of the victims.

The car, which was crowded, fell from a bridge that crosses a stream on the RJ-208, near the Tapera neighborhood. According to witnesses, the driver tried to avoid a cyclist, lost control of the car and fell into the river.

There is no information yet on the burial of the victims.
