A man died and five bathers were wounded by gunfire by criminals in Praia da Prainha, in Arraial do Cabo, Lagos Region, on Saturday afternoon (26). The event is still in progress and will be investigated by the 132nd DP (Arraial do Cabo). There is no information about the prisoners.
Teams from the 25th Military Police Battalion (Cabo Frio) were summoned shortly after 2:00 p.m. to verify if there was an assassination attempt on the beach, when they saw a young man seriously wounded by gunshots. He was rescued to the General Hospital of Arraial do Cabo, but according to the PM, the victim could not resist the injuries.
During the actions of the criminals, police said, five bathers were also beaten and rescued at the same health unit. Bathers are not in danger of death. Police teams search the area to arrest the criminals involved in the crime.
Witnesses reported on the internet that there were many shootings and runs. “It was a rush. They ran out of the crowd and shot the tourists, ”said one resident.
The Fire Department said he was called, but by the time he arrived at the scene, the victims had already been taken to the hospital. Identities were not released.
