A special retirement
It is granted to those who work exposed to agents that are harmful to health, such as heat or noise, continuously, at exposure levels above the limits established in the specific legislation. This category was also included in the changes made with the pension reform, enacted in November 2019, and transformed into Constitutional Amendment 103. For workers who were already in the market, a transition rule was created, which changes every year. See what it will be like in 2021.
There are three categories of activities, depending on the hazard. For each, the rule is different. The greatest danger, for underground mining activities, for example, requires 15 years of contribution
. The second level, for mining activities outside the production front, requires 20 years of collection
. The most comprehensive category, which includes nurses, X-ray technicians and metallurgists, among others, requires 25 years of contribution
.
In addition, these workers must comply with a minimum score
, which is the sum of age and contribution time
. The required points increase every year. In 2020, it was 66 points for workers with 15 years of retirement; 76 points for the 20-year collection period; and 86 points for the level that requires 25 years of contributions. In 2021, the score rises to 67, 77 and 87, respectively.
For the federal public servants
, the rules are the same. The difference is that there is only one category of danger, which is the one that requires 25 years of contribution
. In addition, it is necessary to serve 20 years in public service and 5 years in office.
