RS records the hundredth death from Covid-19

The State Department of Health (SES) recorded the hundredth death of Covid-19 in Rio Grande do Sul this Sunday. Throughout the day, the folder registered three more deaths from the disease: two in Bento Gonçalves and one in Santa Rosa . The lethality in the State, on the eve of the implementation of the controlled social distancing model, stands at 3.9%.

According to SES, the victims in Bento are an 87-year-old woman and a 68-year-old man. In Santa Rosa, an 89-year-old woman died. It was not reported if the victims had any type of comorbidity. RS reached his 100th death 46 days after the first death, on March 24.

This Sunday, the secretary counted 34 other new cases. Lajeado, one of the foci of the new RS coronavirus, had the highest balance of the day, with four new patients. In total, the SES represents 2,576 cases of the disease. There are 1,103 assets, while 1,373 people have already been considered recovered.

Four other municipalities registered their first case: Butiá, Itaqui, São Valentim do Sul and Vila Flores. There are now 193 cities with at least one infected person.
