The candidate for councilor in Paraty, Rio de Janeiro, Valmir Tenório (PT) was killed with a shot in the head this Wednesday afternoon (4). According to the Civil Police, one of the suspects, aged 60, was arrested on the spot, accused of qualified homicide with useless motive. The information is from the newspaper O Globo.
According to investigations, it is said that the victim had an affair with the ex-wife of a drug trafficker in Ilha das Cobras, in addition to meeting people linked to a rival faction of the executioners.
After locating the suspect, his preventive detention was requested. Police are looking for two other men suspected of being involved in the crime. The body of the victim was transferred to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) of Angra dos Reis.
