This Monday (14), what should have been the reopening of the INSS agencies after months, was a nightmare for thousands of Brazilians throughout the country. Those who sought care, even if they had already booked, faced queues and a lack of expert doctors. In São Paulo, the agencies did not even open by court decision.

At various branches across the country, there was already an early queue, at the scheduled time, to restart face-to-face service, despite the scheduling requirement. And it was useless to make an appointment for the Brazilians who attended the medical examination.

“I’m going to have to go back because today I don’t have the skills,” a man lamented.

The National Association of Federal Medical Experts said that health security conditions were not yet adequate for professionals and also for policyholders.

Most of the appointments scheduled for this Monday in Belo Horizonte were for medical expertise. As the experts did not appear, the agencies they opened were like this: the open door and the empty agency were a reflection of the disappointment of many people.

Tatiane has been out of work for a month, without pay and depending on experience to receive the benefit. “I came here in anguish and I left even more in anguish,” he says.

In Rio, an agency opened an hour late and frustrated those who sought care.

“I booked by phone, everything was fine. What have I worked for since I was 14 years old? I can’t work anymore. It is a humiliation ”, says the cook Nilza Oliveira.

In Sergipe, the most scheduled service was also forensic. There were more queues and conversations in front of the agency.

In Recife, an agency suspended services because air conditioning units were stolen.

“Don’t answer me. They said it doesn’t have air conditioning. Everything was stolen,” said housewife Rosângela Lopes.

In the state of São Paulo, the Court responded to a request from the Servants’ Union, which alleges that they have no security against Covid. And she avoided the operation. Seu Félix’s effort was in vain.

“Feeling sick, taking the subway, taking the train, not even being able to walk. I was supposed to be home recovering, taking my medications. And they did that to me ”, says Félix Cabral de Sousa, a bicycle manufacturer.

In Curitiba, the servers are on strike. But there was a date and the queue formed at dawn.

“I will reprogram again and again. When will this return? An explanation for the Brazilian, for the citizen ”, says a man.

Rosângela Aparecida was scheduled. You have been trying to benefit your disabled child for over a year. Without getting the service, she decided to call the INSS from the queue at 135.

“That I have to call another time to reschedule today’s experience, it was just not my fault, it wasn’t me who missed a day of experience, they were the ones who refused to answer me. Who is going to support me and who is going to give my son bread? “Says the manager of the supermarket.

More queue in Porto Alegre. And in the rain. Imagine the situation for those who are still at risk. Andreia is pregnant, has diabetes and high blood pressure.

“Insecurity, lack of respect, we are here and he is not playing, it is not because we want to. I am a pregnant woman, I am fine, but I was referred for the risk group and now I come here and when will I receive it? “, Said.
