A clandestine party with at least 50 people was interrupted in a nightclub in the Interlagos region, south of São Paulo, in the early hours of Sunday (21), during a new joint action between public security and health agents.

TO The operation was carried out at the El Divino Bar nightclub, located on Avenida Atlântica. Civil and Military Police, Sanitary Surveillance and Procon participated in the action. Federal Deputy Alexandre Frota (PSDB) accompanied the inspection.

Police officers drew crowds at the club, many without wearing masks to protect themselves from the coronavirus. The event organizer has been identified and should be responsible for holding the party amid the pandemic.

Since Monday (15), the state of São Paulo is in the emergency phase of the São Paulo Plan, that is, parties and crowds such as the one found at the Interlagos nightclub are prohibited. This is the most restrictive step against covid-19 adopted by Governor João Doria (PSDB) so far.

Stronger than the red phase, the measure includes what the government called a “curfew” between 8 pm and 5 am and a ban on religious and sporting events until March 30.
