The Military Police have just closed a clandestine party that was taking place this Tuesday night (29) at the beach house of the singer Elba Ramalho, in Trancoso, in southern Bahia. According to preliminary information transmitted to the Alô Alô Bahia website, some 400 people participated in the event.
Although it belonged to the singer, the residence was rented to a group in São Paulo. In contact with the Alô Alô Bahia website, the Military Police confirmed the information.
A source from the city, on condition of anonymity, told us that the crowd was large even outside the house. “We couldn’t even get past the entrance to the residence of the many people they had at the door,” he said.
The police raid comes hours after the Bahia Court of Justice (TJBA) once again banned parties in Porto Seguro, where Trancoso is located, at the end of the year. The decision was made by Judge Cinthya Maria Pina Resende, who reversed the contrary decision of the Porto Seguro District judge on duty that authorized the holding of festive events with up to 200 people.
The decision came after a request from the Attorney General’s Office (PGE), at the express request of Governor Rui Costa, who had already warned that the government would appeal.
According to the judge, it is the TJBA that must hear and judge the lawsuits that involve the municipalities of the state.
Almost no beds
In Porto Seguro, according to data from the State Health Department (Sesab), the Neuroccor Hospital, the only one with beds reserved for patients with covid-19 in the city, has 80% of the ICU beds for adults occupied. Of the ten totals, only two are free, according to the Correio newspaper *.
According to TV Bahia, the occupancy rate for general beds at the Luís Eduardo Magalhães Hospital, in Porto Seguro, is 100%.
