The São Paulo government working group, which includes the Sanitary Surveillance and the Military and Civil Police, as well as the Metropolitan Guard, captured, between last night and early today, 102 crowding points in the city of São Paul. In total, 221 dispersions had to be made between Friday and Saturday, according to the Blitze Committee balance.

Among the 102 crowding points identified by the working group, there was a nightclub in the center of the capital, which awaited the presence of 250 people on the night of the inspection, according to the São Paulo government. The name of the venue has not been released, but the task force says the party is over and the nightclub has been fined and banned.

The images released by the São Paulo government showed many men, most of whom were young, and were still approached by police officers inside the establishment. To enter the site, which had the door closed, the civil police had to use a weight and a lever to break down the main door.

In addition to the party, a beauty salon in the Pinheiros region, west of the city, was evaluated and banned. The activity is not allowed in the emergency phase of the São Paulo contingency plan. Another private security company in Jabaquara, southern zone, was also fined, including for identifying people without masks, which are mandatory.

In total, between night and early morning, 27 establishments were inspected by the Sanitary Surveillance. In the actions of the PM, 10.5 kg of drugs were seized and, during the actions, five people were fined for driving under the influence of alcohol.

“Situation that configures the risk of accidents and the possible need for hospital care, at a time when the health network is severely affected by the covid-19 pandemic,” the São Paulo government said in a note.

The working group that verifies possible locations that do not comply with the planned sanitary measures was created on March 12 in association with the state government and the capital’s mayor’s office.
