PJF confirms two more deaths and almost 30 new cases of Covid-19

With two more deaths confirmed by the Juiz de Fora City Council (PJF) in the epidemiological bulletin updated this Saturday (2), the city reached a total of 511 deaths from Covid-19. In addition, the survey identified 29 new cases of the disease witnessed between this Friday and Saturday. With the updates, the city has recorded a total of 13,615 coronavirus diagnoses since March.

One of the confirmed deaths occurred on Saturday. The victim is an 89-year-old woman. He had systemic arterial hypertension and chronic lung disease. According to health authorities, comorbidities, in addition to age, are factors that contribute to the Covid-19 health problem. The other death was that of an old man, 86 years old. He passed away this Friday (January 1). He had a history of chronic neurological disease.

Regarding the notifications of influenza syndrome, considered suspicious of the disease, 120 new records were registered in 24 hours. In total, Juiz de Fora already has 45,275 suspected cases registered.

Recovered

Regarding the number of people recovered, of the 13,444 cases confirmed until last Tuesday (29) -the date on which the last balance of these patients was published-, 12,683, around 94%, were considered restored. They tested positive for Covid-19 and gained 14 days of isolation without complications.
