A Belo Horizonte City Council (PBH) sets the last details for the reopening of bars and restaurants, which will be able to sell alcoholic beverages with consumption in the places, from 5:00 p.m. this Friday (4). This Thursday (3), Municipal Secretary of Health published in the Official Gazette of the Municipality (DOM) a decree that prohibits shows and installation of screens in establishments.

According to the text, “entertainment activities that can generate crowds, such as live music, image projections, theatrical presentations and sporting events are prohibited.” The ordinance is signed by the municipal secretary of health, Jackson Machado Pinto.
Last Tuesday (1), PBH had already published a decree that regulates the installation of tables and chairs in public spaces, such as sidewalks, parklets and operational spaces. Bars and restaurants must guarantee a minimum distance of 2 m (two meters) between tables and 1 m (one meter) between the occupants of the same table, limited to four people.

The maximum capacity of the establishments is one person each 5m² of total area, including employees. Only seated customers can consume. Whoever is outside the tables inside and outside the bars and restaurants will not be attended, in accordance with the PBH rules.

Schedule: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Monday to Thursday), 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. (Friday) and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. (weekends);
Weekdays: Sunday to Sunday, with alternate schedules;
Main rule: Retail establishments will be able to sell alcoholic beverages from Friday – from 5 pm – until Sunday. On weekdays (except Friday), the sale of alcoholic beverages will be prohibited.

• Serve only customers seated for consumption on site;

• Minimum distance of 2 m (two meters) between tables and 1 m (one meter) between occupants at the same table;

• Maximum of four people per table;

• Consumption outside the tables inside and outside the establishment is prohibited;

• The waiting and payment queues must ensure a distance of 2 m (two meters) between people, with the appropriate appointments;

• The use of self-service food and drinks (refill) is prohibited;

• The customer must remain with a mask in the food court, removing it only to eat and / or drink.
