BRASILIA – Health Minister Eduardo Pazuello was discharged from the hospital this Sunday morning, according to a note released by the ministry. Pazuello had been hospitalized since Friday night, when he developed a dehydration condition. The minister is with Covid-19.
“Pazuello is fine and has recovered from the dehydration situation. The minister will be monitored by his medical team from the Armed Forces until full recovery from Covid-19,” said the Ministry of Health. He was admitted to the DF Star private hospital in Brasilia. .

On Saturday, the ministry reported that Pazuello “is well, in a stable state of health and in the process of hydration.” Also according to the press office, “there was no need for supportive measures such as oxygen supplementation.”
Pazuello had already suffered from dehydration last week, when he discovered he was infected with the new coronavirus. In addition to dehydration, the minister reported fever and headaches. He announced that he contracted Covid-19 on the 21st. Since then, he has been in isolation at the officers’ transit hotel in the Military Urban Sector, in Brasilia.
Despite the orientation towards isolation, on October 22, that is, the day after the confirmed diagnosis, Pazuello appeared in a broadcast on social networks with President Jair Bolsonaro. They were both without a mask. Pazuello was sleeping when the president arrived to broadcast. In the video, Bolsonaro stated that “maybe, for sure,” the assistant would return “to the stop.”
