First expansion of the photovoltaic project
The Mayor of Fortaleza, Roberto Cláudio, announced in Live on Wednesday afternoon (13) that a total of 110 patient beds will be opened in Covid-19 during the next week, 56 referring to the new expansion of the Hospital de la Campaña Presidente Vargas in the Benfica neighborhood, and another 54 to the Hospital da Mulher, in the Bairro Jóquei Clube. According to the mayor, this is the first expansion of the FV hospital in relation to the original project of 224 beds, which are already working.
In relation to the Hospital da Mulher, the new beds for the treatment of Covid-19 refer to the unemployed due to the postponement of elective surgeries. “We already have a small unit at Covid that involves 10 ICU beds and 16 nursing beds, but due to the fact that we have canceled elective surgeries that do not require such urgency, it ended up generating an empty space, so we will occupy it with 54 beds starting next Monday (18), “he explained.
