A 37-year-old woman stabbed her children, a 9-year-old girl and an 18-year-old boy, on Tuesday night (29), in Contagem, in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte, after a fight over the family dog . Later, the attacker committed suicide.
According to the Military Police report, the woman’s father said she was very agitated, undergoing treatment for depression and taking controlled medications. Yesterday, she would be more upset than usual after her son, who also uses medication, assaulted the family’s pet dog.
Still, according to the woman’s father, around 7 pm, he heard noises in his daughter’s room and then the granddaughter left the room asking for help and with a deep cut on her arms. Inside the room was the young man with leg injuries and the mother with an abdominal injury.
His children were rescued and sent to the Municipal Hospital of Contagem. Her health status was not disclosed. A team from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called to the house, but the woman could not resist the injury.
Also according to the police file, the aggressor even said that the children were not hers, gave her medicine to sleep and then assaulted both of them. The incident was registered at the 4th Guard Police Station in Contagem.
