180 people were diagnosed and seven new deaths from the disease in the last 24 hours

This Saturday (9), Minas Gerais reached 3,123 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 118 deaths due to the disease, according to an epidemiological bulletin published by the State Department of Health (SES).

In just one day, 180 people were diagnosed with the disease and seven new deaths due to Covid-19. In addition, SES reported that the State still has 98,385 suspected cases and 144 deaths under investigation.

Minas Gerais government admits that not all notifications will be tested

Belo Horizonte is the city with the most victims: there are 934 people diagnosed and 26 deaths. Juiz de Fora, in the Zona da Mata, is the second municipality with the majority of cases of the disease, with 274 confirmed 13 and deaths. Then comes Uberlândia, in the Triangle, with 237 patients and 10 deaths due to the new coronavirus.

Of the confirmed cases in Minas Gerais that did not die, 1,510 victims are men and 1,495 are women. The age group with the most patients is between 20 and 59 years old, with 78% of cases.

In relation to the dead, men also predominate: there were 65 male victims and 53 female victims. Regarding the age group, 80% were 60 years or older.

Of these deaths, about 88% had some risk factor, such as hypertension, heart disease, obesity, and / or diabetes.
