Guitarist José Carlos Leal Moreira, 42, suffered a massive heart attack on Saturday (3) during the live broadcast of the band CLM, in São Francisco (MG). He was playing and singing normally when he suddenly fell with his hands on the guitar. The information is from the Estado de Minas newspaper.
The band continued playing for some time, until one of them noticed the fall of José Carlos and interrupted the performance. The musician was rescued, but arrived dead at the Doutor Brício de Castro Dourado Municipal Hospital.
According to the CLM band, the group formed when they were still young, but later broke up. With the pandemic, they decide to meet again and promote themselves live. The initiative arose from the group “Memórias de São Francisco”, created on social networks with the aim of rescuing notable events and characters from the history of the municipality.
In addition to being a musician, José Carlos Moreira worked as a locksmith. According to relatives, he suffered from a heart problem and had been using a pacemaker for seven years. The victim leaves his wife and three children.
