On Monday (12), a 1 year and 5 month old girl died after being attacked by a dog of the chow chow breed. The tragedy occurred in Frei Inocêncio, 355 km from Belo Horizonte.
Maria Cecília de Oliveira Souza had the habit of playing with the animal, which had been with the family for about four months. According to witnesses, another animal entered the backyard of the residence, leaving the aggressive chow chow. At this point, the boy passed close to the dog and was bitten several times on the neck and head.
The father even tried to save his daughter, but he was also bitten by the dog. Both were transferred to the Governador Valadares Municipal Hospital, but the girl did not resist the injuries. The father was seen and released.
