The Governor of Espírito Santo, Renato Casagrande, made a new statement on Tuesday night (12), to update the measures to combat the new coronavirus.
Casagrande began the broadcast by congratulating the professionals on Nursing Day and then highlighted the investment in beds in the ICU and reinforced the need for social isolation.
“Having beds is a guarantee of dignity for people. We are making a strong investment in beds to serve people, but the bed will be insufficient if we do not increase social isolation. It accelerates contagion and speed promotes strong demand for beds of hospital, “he said.
According to the governor, the role of the municipalities is very important, especially at this time, considered the highest incidence of the virus in the state.
“We can look for alternatives, you can also suggest alternatives, report in 190, the municipalities also have telephone numbers for complaints. The work of the municipalities is very important, the municipal mayor, councilors, leaders, citizens … municipalities have a fundamental role in controlling the pandemic. We cannot work separately, that is why we have held meetings with the mayors so that we can work together, produce a result for the Espírito Santo society and we can go through this moment, The greatest difficulty, in May and June, of the highest incidence of the virus in Espírito Santo, “concluded Casagrande.
Contracts
Casagrande also emphasized that the State Health Department (Sesa) is closing a contract with the health units to receive patients with other diseases and, therefore, relieve the reference hospitals for covid-19 in Espírito Santo.
One of these units is the Clinica dos Accidentas, in Mário Cypreste, Vitória, which the state government will regulate so that it also provides medical clinic services, with nursing beds and ICUs for diseases other than covid-19.
Another unit that the state government intends to use to relocate these patients is the Hospital dos Servidores, in Cidade Alta, in the center.
