A man set fire to a car in the Boa Vista neighborhood of São José do Rio Preto on the afternoon of Thursday (12). The images were captured by a security camera. Information is from G1.
The man reportedly walked to the car with a gallon in one hand and poured a flammable liquid into the vehicle.

He then appears to have used a lighter to set the car on fire, which quickly projected a strong flare, startling the suspect, who ran after nearly being hit by the flames and escaped on a motorcycle.
The vehicle was partially destroyed and no one was in it at the time of the fire. According to the Military Police, witnesses called the Fire Department, which managed to control the fire.
A winch was called to remove the car from where it was parked. The Civil Police reported that the owner of the vehicle was located after the incident and that the crime will be investigated.
