Christmas Eve was marked by a tragic event in Bairro Novo Riacho, in Contagem, in Greater BH. An 18-year-old was killed by his 53-year-old stepfather after a fight.

According to the Military Police (PM), the crime occurred on Thursday afternoon. Family members say the boy was involved in drugs and robberies. The victim’s sister says that he came home very upset and wanted to enter, but his stepfather prevented him because the mother has health problems that put her at risk for covid-19.

Disgusted, he took a tile and tried to attack his mother and sister. He would have pushed them and his stepfather intervened. At that moment, the man took a knife and beat his stepson.

When the police arrived at the scene, the young man was without vital signs. The death was confirmed by the Mobile Emergency Service (Samu). There were six knife sticks in the chest region.

Also according to the PM, the mother gave the same version of the daughter and the stepfather, who was arrested and sent to the Contagem Police Station.
