The president of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Luiz Fux, ordered the dismissal of the secretary of integrated health services of the Court, Marco Polo Dias Freitas. The server was in charge of requesting the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) to reserve seven thousand doses of the vaccine against Covid-19 for ministers and judicial officials, which would make the Court “break the line” of vaccination priorities. . The information is from columnist Ancelmo Gois, from the newspaper “O Globo”.

When determining the dismissal of the secretary, Fux would have emphasized that “it was always against the privileges”, according to the columnist. However, in an interview with TV Justiça on December 23, the minister defended the request to reserve vaccines: “We also have to worry about not stopping the fundamental institutions of the State, neither the Executive, nor the Legislative, nor the Judiciary , normally made up of men and women who already have a certain maturity. We make, in an educated and ethical manner, a request within the possibilities when all the priorities are met, “said Fux at the time.

In addition to the STF, the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) also requested reservations for vaccines from Fiocruz, an institution that denied both requests.
