The Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense of Ceará (SSPDS) reported that the four men killed in a police chase in Praia do Futuro, this Tuesday (29), were members of criminal organizations and were preparing for a comparison with rival groups on that night. Police received a report on the plan and went in search of the suspects, locating the group in a stolen car.
There was a police chase and shots fired. The criminals collided with the vehicle they were in and ran into a bush, but were shot. Four of them did not survive the injuries and a fifth suspect was arrested. No police officer was injured in the action.
The group planned to invade a community known as Luxou, according to information from people in the region.
The vehicle located with the criminals, a marquee, was stolen and had adulterated license plates. The theft dates from September 29, police said. In the car, the military police seized three 38-caliber firearms, with 13 rounds of fire and seven more ammunition.
The case is being investigated by the 15th Police District, in Bairro Cidade 2000, responsible for the region.

On the same night the four were killed, a four-year-old girl was shot with her mother in the Praia do Futuro neighborhood moments later. The boy did not resist and died on the spot.
The community points out that the crime would have been retaliation for the death of members of the criminal organization. THE Northeast Newspaper he asked the SSPDS and the Military Police about the information, but until the last update of this report there was no response.
The girl’s mother would be the real target of the shots. The two were on Rua Oliveira Filho, in a place known as Comunidade do Caroço, when the crime occurred. The suspects came to the street in a vehicle and fired the shots.
The woman was shot in the arm and shoulder, according to information from neighbors. She was rescued, but there is no information about her health.

Retaliation
The confrontation planned by the criminal group intercepted by the police would also be in retaliation for another crime, which occurred in that neighborhood on Monday (29). The information was transmitted to the report by residents of the region, who preferred not to be identified, but were not confirmed by the police.
A woman who was not identified was killed with several bullet holes in the head at the intersection of Avenida Dioguinho and Rua Paulo Mendes, on Monday night (29). A team from the Ceará Military Police (PMCE) was summoned to attend to the incident when passing through a section of the avenue.
Upon reaching the scene, the police found the woman’s body lying on the ground.
According to a report from neighbors, who preferred not to be identified, the woman carried out robberies in the region with a man on a motorcycle. Neighbors also revealed that, during one of the criminal actions, a second man arrived on another motorcycle and shot the victim.
In the searches for the suspects, both of the murder of the woman and of her alleged partner in the robbery practice, the Military Police located the motorcycle used in the couple’s crimes.
The vehicle had a history of theft and was in a house on Rua Dolor Barreira, in the Vicente Pinzón neighborhood, adjacent to the Praia do Futuro neighborhood. A man was detained at the scene and police found a firearm drill, as well as two stolen motorcycles (one of which would be the vehicle the couple used to steal).
A woman who was at the residence was also arrested. The identity of both was not communicated by the police.
