This Tuesday (29), 11 more deaths from Covid-19, in addition to 169 new cases of the disease, were confirmed by the Juiz de Fora City Council (PJF) in an epidemiological bulletin. With the updates, the city has already recorded a total of 497 deaths and 13,444 confirmed coronavirus cases since March.
Of the new confirmed deaths, three occurred on Monday (28), all of elderly women with a history of previous illnesses. One of the victims was a 91-year-old woman. He had systemic arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and hypothyroidism. The other two were 76 years old. One was obese and had systemic hypertension, and the other lived with chronic cardiovascular disease, systemic hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and chronic kidney disease. According to health authorities, comorbidities, in addition to age, are factors that contribute to the Covid-19 health problem.
Last Sunday (27) there were two other deaths. A 74-year-old woman died with chronic cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, and obesity. A 54-year-old man also died. She had systemic arterial hypertension and chronic kidney disease as comorbidity.
Two deaths occurred on Saturday (26). One of the victims was a 62-year-old woman. He had obesity and systemic arterial hypertension. The other was a 67-year-old man with systemic hypertension.
On Friday (25) two other elderly victims of Covid-19 died. One, 85 years old, with chronic cardiovascular disease, systemic arterial hypertension and other chronic lung disease; and a 74-year-old man with systemic arterial hypertension.
Of the other two confirmed deaths, one occurred on the last day 24. The patient was a 50-year-old woman with a kidney transplant. The other victim died on December 22. He was 31 years old and had no reported comorbidities.
Regarding the notifications of influenza syndrome, considered suspicious of the disease, 554 new records were registered in 24 hours. In total, Juiz de Fora has counted 44,280 suspected cases.
Almost 400 hospitalized
According to data from the City Council’s management panel, as of 6:20 p.m., 398 patients were hospitalized in “Covid beds”, 146 in intensive care beds and 252 in nursing teams. Until the same moment, the total occupancy rate for ICU beds in the city was 80.63%. The index in relation to the ICU beds of the SUS was 81.41%. The nursery beds had an occupancy rate of 54.59%.
As for the index of social isolation in the city, the last update of the PJF panel returned data from Monday. At the time, the rate was 48.7%.
Recovered
Regarding the number of people recovered, the Ministry of Health reported that until last Tuesday (22), of the 12,824 cases confirmed so far, 12,029, about 93%, were considered restored. They tested positive for Covid-19 and gained 14 days of isolation without complications.
