A week after the death of Tom Veiga (1973-2020), Ana Maria Braga gave an interview to Fantástico. The presenter commented on how difficult it was to face this first week without a co-worker. Ana María mentioned that this week was different because Louro José was still in the morning, receiving the honors. “I laugh and cry at the same time, do you know when you have not yet become real, although you already know all this, reality? Tom Veiga passed away on November 1, the victim of a stroke (ictus) caused by an aneurysm. According to the co-worker, Louro José’s interpreter did not take care of his health as he should, but the two never spoke of the death.
“We were friends and confidants, we talked on the phone every day during the pandemic. No [falava sobre a morte]. I never spoke to Tom about what it would be like if one of us died, ‘what do you think about being buried like this?’ I think about dying from time to time because they scare me more often (laughs) ”, he confessed.
“The [Tom] no, he was a little boy, who really didn’t care about his health as he should. All the friends said: ‘Plha, you need to sleep more, do this less, go to the doctor to see this pain in the spine.’ But it was unthinkable. We never talk about death, ”Tom’s friend lamented.
The presenter of Mais Você said that the actor loved others too much, but that he did not take care of himself as he should: “I think I should have put him on my lap and slapped him in various situations, which I think suddenly could have if you cared more, if you loved more.
