A bar in the north of the city of São Paulo was closed tonight for not complying with the restrictive measures imposed by the red phase of the São Paulo Plan to combat covid-19. The information is from Globo News.

The place, whose name was not disclosed, is located on Avenida Luiz Dumont Villares, in Santana. Also according to the report, the bar can be fined for violating the São Paulo Plan and also the Anti-Smoking Law.

The Military Police had already gone to the site before and told him to be closed. The bar, however, remained open.

Around 7pm today, the PM returned with the help of the health surveillance. Only then was the site closed and emptied.

Last Tuesday (22), the government of São Paulo announced that the entire state would have “specific restrictive measures” against the coronavirus between December 25-27 and January 1-3.

In practice, the measures are red, with only essential stores, such as pharmacies, bakeries and markets, restricting the operation of restaurants and bars.
