On Friday (22), the Ministry of Health included industrial and construction workers in the list of priority groups in the vaccination plan against Covid-19. In total, this group represents 5.3 million people. The information is from Folha.

According to the report, the portfolio also included air and water transport workers and dock workers among the groups scheduled to be vaccinated with priority.

With these changes, the total number of people expected to receive vaccines among the priority groups increases from 65 million to 77.2 million. There is still no timetable for the application of the two doses between these groups.

In a note, the Ministry of Health informs that “the dose distribution schedules with the corresponding priority groups will be announced through technical reports.”

“It is worth clarifying that all health workers will be covered with vaccination, however, the expansion of the coverage of this public will be gradual, like the other priority publics listed in the second edition of the plan, according to the availability of vaccines ”. says the note.

In the plan, the ministry says it has contracted 354 million doses for vaccination, of which 212 million would be from AstraZeneca / Fiocruz, 100 million from Butantan / Sinovac and 42.5 million from the Covax Facility consortium.
