One of the women rescued from the fire in an apartment in Praia do Canto, in Vitória, despaired when looking for news about her grandchildren. Two children, who were with an elderly woman and another woman in the apartment, were rescued alive by the Fire Department. One of them, however, is in serious condition.
The fire broke out around 8 pm on the third floor of the Pintor Fanzeres Building, on Avenida Rio Branco. However, the flames were only controlled about 45 minutes later, according to the Municipal Guard.
According to information obtained by the To Tribune, the old woman is the grandmother of the children and despaired being supported by popular people. “Children. Children,” the lady shouted, as shown in a video recorded by residents of the region. At the same moment, one of the children, a boy, is carried by an agent of the Fire Department to the ambulance.
The health status of the old woman, the woman (who would be the mother of the children) and the other child was not disclosed. So far, the causes of the fire are unknown.
