Face-to-face classes are authorized in Espírito Santo from October 5

ABOUT GOING BACK TO CLASSES
How classes simply cannot be resumed in three cities that still present the so-called moderate risk. They are: Mountain, Piúma and São José do Calçado. Localities, according to Governor Renato Casagrande, who will continue with remote activities. “Both municipal, state and private schools will continue with remote activities. If they migrate at low risk, we can adopt face-to-face activities ”.
THE RULES
Public schools – municipal and state – as well as private ones, all must follow the rules established in the Sedu / Sesa Joint Ordinance 01-R, which was published on August 8.
Among the various requirements, is that the return to activities must occur gradually, in stages and with rotation among students. This means that high school students go back to school first. Later, it will be the turn of the Fundamental II students and, shortly after, the Fundamental I students return to class, according to information from the Secretary of State for Education (Sedu).
In addition, a hybrid educational regime must be adopted, with rotation between classes, with part of the students in face-to-face classes and others in the remote system, to avoid crowds.
PRIVATE SCHOOLS
Restrictions have been lifted and private schools can resume face-to-face activities starting October 5. The return will be optional and each school will have autonomy to make its decision.
The authorization applies to Basic Education – Primary Education 1 and 2– and Baccalaureate. For higher education, the restrictions had already been lifted. It will be necessary to respect the security and prevention measures, according to security protocols.
MUNICIPAL SCHOOLS
They are authorized to resume their activities from the 13th. But the decision will be in the hands of each municipal administrator.
Those who decide to return to school must follow the same rules established for state and private companies, with gradual return and adopting a hybrid model (alternating between face-to-face and remote).
CHILDREN’S EDUCATION
Children’s education, public or private, including nurseries, can also resume activities from October 5, but provided it is with individual assistance or in small groups.
But the units must follow what the health protocol will establish for this stage of teaching, and which will be published in the Official State Gazette next Tuesday (29), according to Governor Renato Casagrande.
STATE NETWORK
Public schools only return on the 13th. According to the governor, they will continue to offer Non-Presence Pedagogical Activities (APNP). They will also respect a relay, with an interval of fifteen days between each stage.
This means that high school students go back to school first. Fifteen days later it will be the turn of the Fundamental II students. After another 15 days, Elementary I students return to class.
In addition, it will be necessary to adopt a hybrid educational regime – with weekly rotation between classes – with some of the students in face-to-face classes and others in a remote system, to avoid overcrowding.
According to the governor, the EscoLAR Program will continue to complement the face-to-face classes and will fill the time of the week when there will be no face-to-face classes, with distance classes.

Families and students who have comorbidities or who do not wish to return to classes can remain in remote education, according to the governor. “If the student has no security or is at risk, the school must continue to offer remote activities. It is a prudent step for us to do what we have been doing in recent months ”.
