ES receives tenth batch of vaccine doses for immunization from Espírito Santo

The tenth shipment of doses of vaccine against the coronavirus arrived, this Friday night (26), to Espírito Santo, to begin immunizing the population between 65 and 69 years old. The tenth batch arrived by plane, on a flight from São Paulo to Vitória that landed at 7:30 pm at the capital’s airport.

The new batch contains 79,900 doses, 17,900 of which are from the Oxford pharmaceutical company and another 62,000 doses of Coronavac, produced at the Butantan Institute.

Of the total, 51,529 doses will be sent to municipalities to serve 35% of the population between 65 and 69 years old. The estimated population in the state of age in this age group is 147,257 thousand people, according to the State Health Secretariat (Sesa).

In addition, the new shipment must complete 100% of the application of the first dose in people older than 70 to 74 years and the amount of 2% for health workers, in compliance with the guidelines of the National Immunization Plan, of the Ministry of Health.

The doses will be sent to the Rede de Frio State Central for registration, in the Capital. The forecast is that the distribution to the municipalities of the Metropolitan Region will begin in the morning of next Monday (29), as well as the shipment to the North, South and Central regional health centers.
