The governor of São Paulo, João Doria (PSDB), affirmed this Saturday that São Paulo maintains the forecast of starting the vaccination against covid-19 on January 25, even if the federal government includes Coronavac in the National Immunization Plan. He also said that 12 states and more than a thousand municipalities have already shown interest in buying the immunizing agent developed by the Butantan Institute in partnership with the Chinese laboratory Sinovac.

The government of Jair Bolsonaro is going to issue a Provisional Measure (MP) to open a loan of R $ 20 billion for the purchase of vaccines. With the measure, the Minister of Health, Eduardo Pazuello, must reinforce the discourse that his portfolio will buy and distribute all the vaccines available in the country, including Coronavac.

“It is what we want since the beginning of October, when the minister announced the purchase and, less than 24 hours later, it was disavowed by the president. What we question is why start vaccination only in March, if we have the capacity to do so “. in january? ”Said the toucan.

According to Doria, the acquisition of the vaccine by the ministry would not hinder the parallel negotiations that states and municipalities have been doing with São Paulo, since they would also be incorporated into the national system.

On Friday, the Governor of Goiás, Ronaldo Caiado (DEM), commented on the plan of a parliamentarian with the intention of centralizing the purchase of immunizers. This provoked reactions to the possibility of Bolsonaro’s confiscation; the ministry denied the idea. “We hope that doesn’t happen, because that would be unconstitutional,” Doria said Saturday.

The information is from the newspaper The State of S. Paulo.
