Those responsible for the cargo estimate that of the 25 tons, 7 were looted and the rest is now being transferred to another refrigerated vehicle. It is a difficult job because the pieces are very large, about 100 kg each, and the truck is still overturned.

The cargo insurer said rumors that it would be donated made the situation worse.

“There is no donation. And something was stolen here. So we are going to register the BO because tomorrow if someone gets sick, because they sprayed pepper, there was meat that fell on the road, then the company has no responsibility. There was no donation, it was theft, it was pillage, ”says Albertino Viana.

The farmer Jerônimo Moreira waited for the meat to be delivered by the owner of the cargo.

“If I had it distributed, it would help, if it was something great, right? I would take 10 kg, 20 kg … Whatever you released me, I would take,” he says.
